2015 UNATT Exec Committee

UNATT appoints New Executive Committee for 2015

Leading the team is Senator Elton A Prescott, SC who was re-elected President. Ray M S Brathwaite was named Vice-President;  Andrew Joseph - Treasurer; Clayton Blackman - General Secretary; Wendy McKenzie - Assistant Secretary.  Marcia Tinto holds the position of  Education and Outreach Officer, while Irma Burkett assumed the role of Public Relations Officer.  Trustees are Glenda Charles-Harris, Grace Talma and Joyce Jobe-Balfour.  Members are Dr James Armstrong and Dr Michael Alleyne.  Ruben Mc Sween serves as Immediate Past President..

These appointments reflect the  wide range of knowledge and experience which members bring to the Association. .

UNATT is a non-profit organization, established to advance the objectives of human development, the promotion and maintenance of peace and respect for human rights.  It was officially launched in Port of Spain in 1996, on United Nations Day (October 24).   The Association is a member of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), which is headquartered in New York.

UNATT supports the objectives of the umbrella United Nations System, such  as  attainment of its Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).    To this end,  and in collaboration with the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC ), an Alternative Energy Project for schools in Trinidad and Tobago will be launched on March 13, while the first in a series of SDG lectures will take place on March 28.
